Homebuyer Education

  • Classes start at 6:00 pm and are over no later than 9:00 pm
  • You are required to attend all three nights to get the completion certificate

Pre-registration is required

  • There is a $10 fee for the class (per-person). Please make checks or money orders payable to homeWORD and submit with registration. No cash please.

Class covers credit history, debt, affordability, types of loans available, budgeting,
insurance, and home maintenance.  Guest speakers include a credit counselor, realtor, lender, home inspector, insurance agent, and home maintenance counselor.  Assistance programs available to first-time buyers and low-income and working families will be covered.

Classes are presented monthly by homeWORD and are open to the public.

Other Education Classes  

HRDC of Billings is offering Rental Workshops every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 10:30am - 11:30am. These are FREE workshops.

Different resources throughout the community regarding rental housing as well as the resources HRDC has to offer will be discussed. There will be additional budgeting education provided as well.
